Fellow Travelers Cupcake Dress
As a student at CCMÂ I was tasked with building this cupcake dress for Fellow Travelers. I draped and patterned the dress and then was the sole stitcher on the project. Below are final photos as well as many progress photos from throughout the process.

Charles James Drape

For this project we looked at the pictured dress by Charles James and tried to recreate it using a muslin bodice as the base and fabric from stock draped on top of it.
Elizabethan Bodice

For this project we draped a pattern in paper using a dress form and built a bodice from the draped paper pattern. We then flat pattern drafted sleeves and built them. Then the sleeves were attached to the muslin bodice.
Polonaise

For this assignment, we were given research images to choose from and had to recreate the polonaise. We draped on the form and then had to sew the garment by hand and machine and reapply it to the form.
Corset

Over the course of a semester we built a corset, learning techniques along the way.
